A decoincidental artist (from the concept of decoincidence of the philosopher François Jullien), Michèle-Amélie Favre (aka Sensartistik) encourages us to look sideways to reopen new possibilities.

This is how she conceived this work, Floralu, in reference to her "Vortex" series. She invites us to look at from the side: a dialogue is established between the aluminum and the paint through plays of light. A diagonal perspective, a gaze that rises: you will see the reflection of the colors on the aluminum which, in turn, will illuminate the painting. Each work is unique and radiates differently depending on the manual folding of the sheet. Catalog on request.

The “Glitter” works are made with the finest aluminum sheets. Sparkling, they shine with their lightness. Frozen in their volatility, they represent fragility through materialized beauty. Holding your breath means freezing their movement for a moment. Each of them is unique, reinforcing the singular modeling of the material which takes shape differently on the canvas. A wave movement for this “Foam”. The artist sublimates the frozen liquid aluminum, the dense material dances, giving life to the work. The matte and shiny aspects mingle and coexist. Each piece is unique, each work is singular, both in its form and in its composition.

Fragments of aluminum foil torn and scattered randomly to bring out the elementary particle. Accustomed to summoning chance and the accidental in the creative process, the artist, who also draws her inspiration from the Surrealist movement, Jean Arp in particular, stages a physics of poetry playing on shadows and light through shine of aluminum. Delicacy characterizes his art, abstract and minimalist.

Poetry and delicacy emanate from these light works. Through his minimalist approach, the artist wanted to create a dialogue between the thin aluminum sheet and the mirror by playing on the reflection which reveals the color. Depending on the orientation, everything changes: subtle reflection.

We find in these creations the foldings which characterize his work.

"From an artistic point of view, working from recycled metal is an act in favor of sustainability and a way of sublimating grace in what could be considered unsightly or to be destroyed, of (re)giving life and a new use for what could not be worthy of interest. Seeing the beautiful in the indifferent and in the different", explains the artist.
